Remember when you were a kid and your parents urged you to 'go outside' and play? If you did, chances are you filled your time, found your spirit, and came home content. Today our lives are busy and our energies are pulled in all directions. On top of that, our attention has been commodified, and we are increasingly isolated within our digital worlds. Now more than ever we need ways to recharge and connect.
The Boonies Club is an invitation only camping club kicking off in 2024. It’s an opportunity to go outside and play as adults. No amenities, no cell service, no wifi. It's a chance to unplug, unwind, and enjoy the great outdoors with like-minded people who are living through the same period of life.
Away from it all we can explore deep topics affecting our lives together. What does it mean to live a meaningful life? How do we live with purpose? How do we become a part of positive change?
Whether 2 people come, or 20 people come, for those who make the effort it will be a rewarding and memorable weekend.
The Boonies Club - Trips to Explore
When
Our Inaugural Boonies trip took place from May 2-5, 2024. Our second trip is Oct 24-27, 2024.
This will be a bi-annual event on the shoulder seasons for camping in the late spring and early autumn (Apr/May + Sep/Oct).
Where
We'll be camping at the BC Rec Sites and Camp Sites. Each trip location will be different. The goal is to be 3-4hrs drive from Victoria. Specifics will be posted for each trip 3-4 months in advance.
Who
This is an invite only trip. If we are inviting you it is because we want you there and we think there is a good chance you will say yes. Most of us are in our 30's and 40's, and are in the throws of adulthood. You will know other people, if you don't, you will get along with them.
We are inviting 20 people to each trip. If you show up, you are automatically invited to the next trip. The invite list is hand curated by the Founders to tailor the group for the best dymanic possible.
